Julie Kelly is one of Los Angeles' finest interpreters of Jazz standards and Brazilian music. Jazz critic Leonard Feather once wrote "her interpretations of the Great American Songbook are full of joy and spontaneity". Julie was voted into the Top Ten Downbeat 2016 Reader's Poll for Female Vocalists. Her eighth CD "Happy To Be" (Jazz Media) spent many weeks on the Jazz Charts and was given wonderful reviews in Downbeat, JazzIz, and Jazz Times. Julie's compelling lyrics, including those written to tunes by Larry Golding, Chico Pinheiro and Luciana Souza, showcase her poetic range. She has played and recorded with Nat Adderley, Alan Broadbent, Ray Brown, Anthony Wilson and super star Chris Botti.
Los Angeles jazz pianist Scott Healy is a Grammy-nominated composer, producer and session musician. Best known for his long tenure on TV as keyboardist in Conan O’Brien’s house band, Scott has recorded and performed around the world with many of the greats in rock, blues, R&B and jazz including Robert Cray, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, BB King, Jackson Browne, Levon Helm, Son Seals, Hubert Sumlin and Tony Bennett. Mr Healy has worked as an arranger and conductor for major label releases, and written music for film and television.
